The world needs your story Every day in all parts of the world, people are subjected to hatred, harassment, and violence because of their sexual identity. This project gives us the opportunity to come together and share our stories of self-discovery so that others can see that no matter what our differences, each individual experience is natural and human. The success of this project depends on participation. In the interest of reaching more people of every orientation and generating a larger response we are asking that you pass this link along to anyone you think might be willing to share. It doesn't matter what their orientation, expression or identity is, encourage them to tell their personal stories. Every single one is relevant. Please keep in mind that this book is aimed primarily at high school students, teachers and administrators. Stories should be appropriate to this audience. Explicit sexual memoirs will not be published. What we really need is an honest account of your first realization of your identity. If you are interested in being part of this effort and you’re willing to share your story, please send it to: “A Few Choice Words” Or send it via email to: steve@mychoicewords.com We understand that this is a sensitive subject and that some may not wish to have their names published. However, we cannot include any stories that have not been verified. For this reason we ask that you please provide your name, and an email, postal address or phone number with your submission. However, we will remove names from the stories when requested in writing in order to preserve the author's privacy. In addition to your name, it would be helpful for you to provide your age and occupation. In this way we can share another aspect of the diversity of the respondents. Thank you in advance for your participation in this important publication. |
